Forgiveness by Matthew West Foreword by Karen Kingsbury

Thanks to Thomas Nelson company for the complimentary book to review.

Whether giving or receiving, forgiveness is the key toward true healing and blessing. God says there are no limits to forgiveness toward others or ourselves. And when Matthew West set out on a journey asking people to share their true life stories, Renée shared about how she chose to forgive the drunk driver who hit and killed her daughter. This remarkable story and others like it bring peace and healing to the one needing and the ones giving forgiveness. Fifty powerful stories share forgiveness through divorce, betrayal, addiction, abandonment, death, and more. Each story ties into the promises of God’s faithfulness and healing, and ends with the story of God’s ultimate forgiveness through the message of salvation. The very first story is about Renee who is a mother whose child Meagan was killed by a drunk driver named Eric. It brought tears to my eyes cause I can’t imagine losing my child in this way. She forgive Eric and helped him get released from Jail. The other stories helped me with learning to forgive people who have hurt me in the past. Here is the video of the song that started the book, I really love it. “Show me how to love the unlovable Show me how to reach the unreachable Help me now to do the impossible Forgiveness” Matthew West

I recommend this to everyone that needs to forgive someone.  It is a Inspirational/Religion/Christian Life genre. I am a Christian and Forgive people has been the hardest thing to do in my life. This book I will reread when I need the help to forgive a person. I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars. It is 189 pages long, short and sweet. 1. I had a period in my life where I had trouble forgiving someone who had hurt me until I stumbled across a book that opened my eyes and heart and taught me that without forgiveness you continue to live in darkness. The book was truly a blessing and changed my life by bringing me out from the darkness into the light.
