This week for 3 days I went to Pigeon Forge, TN with my son and his Special Education classmates. We had a lot of fun going to Dollywood, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Smokey Mountain National Park and Dixie Stampede. It was an awesome trip and want to go back to explore with son as there are lots to do.

So let’s talk about Dollywood and how awesome it is. Truly a family amusement park that all ages will love. Has the rollercoaster for the daredevils and the slow rides for non-daredevils. Along with seeing craftsman’s doing things from the old times i.e blacksmiths, glass workers. Did I mention great food throughout the park? My son like the bumper cars as he is not into the roller coasters, unlike mommy who loves them.

For Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies I will have a full review on it in a separate post. Love it, the penguins were awesome.

My son went to the top of the mountain in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with his classmates. I did not go as I stay behind getting some airbrush t-shirts for my son and a classmate. He told me that it was forever and his feet hurt from walking so much.

Dixie Stampede was so good and I love it. I took a couple videos of the acts. The food was delicious and it was very good. The Creamy Vegetable Soup was my favorite and I had to look up the recipe before we went and I made it twice. Great entertainment for all ages and they will accompany anyone with disabilities.

I stayed in the Tennessee Mountain Lodge which was great. They have an outdoor pool with a baby pool. The owners are on site and very nice.  It was directly on the main road in Pigeon Forge so you can walk to all the different activities and food. There is also a trolley that you ride to go different places like Dollywood and Sevierville. I love the area and will definitely go again. Check out Pigeon Forge Welcome Center for more information.
